Things You Must Know Before Buying a Puppy

**** IMPORTANT NOTICE****

Be Informed About the Proper Care of Your New Pup

Before adopting a puppy or adult dog at Gallant Edge German Shepherds or any other breeder, there are a number of things you need to know.  We believe that prospective parents of our puppies or adult dogs should be informed and educated about finding a reputable breeder, proper care, training, nutrition, to assist with raising your pet.

Informed pet owners care about their dogs and keep them for life.  We ask you to be an educated dog owner because we care about the future emotional and physical welfare of not only our pups but all dogs in general.

German Shepherds are wonderful, loyal, versatile dogs. They make awesome family pets,  They are also high energy dogs, that require a serious commitment and investment of your love, time, education, companionship, appropriate care, financial commitment, appropriate medical treatment and proper nourishment for his/her entire life.  This commitment should not be taken lightly.  Your new puppy will depend on you for life.

Our puppies/adult dogs should be considered a valued life long member of your family.  We do not want any of our pups to need rescue, but to go to loving responsible life long homes.

Your new pup will depend on you for life! For his/her life!
And for his/her quality of life!

The quality of care you give your pet determines, whether they live or die, whether they have quality of life or not.

We ask prospective german shepherd dog owners to read our  Puppy Buyer's Pledge  and Things You must Know Before Buying a Pup and to be prepared for a life long commitment.  If for some good and legitimate reason, you cannot continue to keep your pet.  Contact the breeder you bought your pup from to help re-home or care for your pet.

Puppies and Adult Dogs Deserve Quality Care For Life

Many people, in their quest to obtain a puppy right now, unwittingly purchase dogs from puppy mills. Be certain to read the below links to find a reputable breeder, get educated about the German Shepherd dog and your commitment to your potential puppy or adult German Shepherd.  Do not adopt a pup or adult unless you are truly ready to honor your new responsibilities as a pet owner for the life of your pet.
